Stripes announces sale of last commemorative Selena cup

The last commemorative Selena cup is finally going on sale at Stripes, the convenience store chain announced.

The ‘Selena Forever’ cup is the third and final cup in the company’s series and will be on sale for $3.99 Saturday. Fans can start lining up at 8 a.m. on Saturday to secure a cup at all participating Stripes stores in Texas and Louisiana.

The new cup features a close-up shot of Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, who is often referred to as the “Queen of Tejano” for her contributions to Mexican-American fashion and music.

The two other cups, released in February and March respectively, show iconic images of Selena over colorful backgrounds. Suzette Quintanilla, Selena’s sister, helped design the cups.

But this isn’t the only opportunity to get these cups. The items will also be on sale from April 12 and 13 during Fiesta de la Flor, a music festival in Corpus Christi dedicated to Selena.

As the countdown to RVK Africa fashion festival slated for 25 to 26 November begins, organizers have revealed the list of artists to perform at the event.

According to the organizers, Lush Events, South African based John Paulo, Lulu, Dali, Blaze and Phyzix have been billed to entertain fashion lovers at BICC in Lilongwe.
