He started to develop his art work whilst using his hands to work the soil and to look after animals. Aged 18 he left the farm, which was his first artistic inspiration. Claudio then traveled around Brazil, working for Telecoms firms and selling his craftwork during his spare time.

It was in this period that he met the Brazilian fine artist Paulo Viana, from Belo Horizonte, who opened a complete new universe to Claudio Quaresma, teaching him how to make unique and luxury Masks, entering him into the magical world of character Masks.

Claudio Quaresma's exclusive Masks can be classic or contemporary. The varied facial expressions allow the wearer to transform themselves into the character.

For the artist these Masks are made to show what he names "the opposite of Self", not just to cover the face.
