Based on Ed Mort looking for Silva, by Luis
Femando Veríssimo and Miguel Paiva. Detective Ed Mort
is hired by a mysterious woman in order to find out Silva,
her missing husband who is a disguise expert. Being found
by Silva who is a prosperous businessman at Delbono Industry,
Ed is trown into an incredible conspiracy, where he ends up
facing the powerful Dr. Nogueira. Missing children and investigations
done by Chief of Police Mariano, whose obsession is to ruin
the detective' s work, are part of the story' s plot. Ed falls
in love for Cibele, Silva's daughter, the beautiful entertainer
of a children's show, which is sponsored by Delbono. Unexpected
events put Ed on the right course to achieve his aim. But
a big surprise waits for him at the end.

TIETA

Sant'Ana
do Agreste, a small village in the Bahia region, is bubbling
with anticipation as it prepares to welcome back Tieta (Sonia
Braga), a country girl returning to her native village after
an absence of 26 years. At 17, Tieta's sexual indiscretions
were denounced by her elder sister Perpétua (Marilia
Pera) and she was thrown out of the family home by her father
Zé Esteves (Chico Anysio). Tieta is the story of a
rich and powerful widow of a São Paolo industrialist,
who after long years, returns to her small village, in rural
Bahia. which she had left as a young woman. Since her departure
from her village, the only contact she has had with her family
has been through letters sent from a P.O. Box in São
Paulo. Tieta soon gets involved with her nephew and embarks
on a torrid relationship with the religiousyoung man.
