www.BrazilianArtists.net is the first and only
one-stop website in English where you can find out everything
about the growing Brazilian scene happening in Britain
at a venue near you.
Since
our foundation in August 2003, www.BrazilianArtists.net
has been working with fierce determination to build long
term and mutually benefitial partnerships based on an
understanding of and commitment to sponsors, artists and
cultural agencies. This is balanced by an ability to present,
connect and provide to our audience a passionate and vibrant
experience of Brazil.
We

We
produce www.BrazilianArtists.net electronic newsletter advertising
all upcoming events, which is circulated to over 6,000
people “and the list is doubling every month”.
Brazilian
Artists & Venues in London promote www.BrazilianArtists.net
with their own promotional material & shows: Curzon Cinemas
programme (Latin American Film Festival), The Guide (The Guardian
Arts suplement), Guanabara Bar flyers, Theatre Museum flyers,
Brazilian Embassy Theatre Reading programme and many others.
www.BrazilianArtists.net
is also advertised monthly in Leros Magazine,
our media partner. Leros is considered to be the “the
Bible” for Brazilians in the UK (Time Out).
We
exchange links with various organisations working with Brazilian
Culture in the UK, including the Brazilian Embassy
in London.
We
appear either at the top or close to the first listing in
most search engines such as Google, Yahoo,
Hotmail, MSN, etc.
Additionally
we are frequently contacted by the mass media
around the world as their reference source on the Brazilian
scene (Finantial Times, ITV News, BBC Television, The Independent,
just to mention a few in the UK).

"If you assume there is no hope, you guarantee
that there will be no hope. If you assume that there
is an instinct for freedom, that there are opportunities
to change things, then here is a possibility that you
can contribute to making a better world. That’s
your choice." (Noam Chomsky)
We
are based on the principle of solidarity & creativity.
We believe art is an important tool in transforming
people's lives.
We
aim to use our creativity first and foremost to transform
everyday reality, not just to make symbolic representations
of it.

|
We
are deeply commited to campaigning for social/political awareness
through art projects.
All support and services we provide to the artists are free
of charge after a nominal membership fee (£25/year).
FURTHER INFO IN PORTUGUESE
We provide operational support to many social projects
in Brazil that work with art-education like Projeto Minhoca,
Children’s Aid, Moleque de Rua or endangered people
like the Kisêdjê in the Xingu Indian Park.
We strongly believe that art can help make the world a
better place! Now you can help us to make it happen! |
